Logiop Studio Overview
Logiop Studio is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) for designing and managing the logic of hierarchical UML State Machines.
Core Features
-
Local data / no cloud:
All Workspace files are stored directly on your local file system via the browser's secure File System Access API. Only user account and subscription-related details are stored on our cloud servers. Storing data locally ensures total privacy. -
Accessible across devices:
Your Workspace folder can be synced across devices using cloud storage providers like OneDrive or version control services like GitHub. To access a Workspace on a new device, download the synced folder and select it during Studio setup. Developers can use Git to streamline this workflow. -
Offline capability:
The application functions completely offline. An active internet connection is only required when signing in, downloading updates, or managing account settings. -
Security:
The application is protected by SSL encryption, Google Authentication, Firebase AppCheck, and standard security protocols to ensure complete account safety and authentic request verification. -
Automatic updates:
The application automatically checks for updates in the background and prompts for installation. -
Single version policy:
A single application version serves all Editions (Basic, Plus, Ultimate). Tier features are gated by subscription, removing the need for separate installers or build variants. -
Layout management:
The State Machine design Canvas provides intelligent layout capabilities:-
Infinite Canvas:
Drag and resize elements beyond any Canvas boundary to automatically expand the Canvas workspace. -
Deep nested States with auto-layout:
Composite States support multiple orthogonal Regions that automatically update their layout bounds to accommodate child elements. -
Auto-routing Transitions:
Moving connected Vertices or repositioning connector handles automatically recalculates Transition paths using a best-fit algorithm. -
Submachines and Connection Point References:
Root State Machines can contain multiple Submachines that are referenced via Submachine States. A Submachine can also reference other Submachines. Alternate execution paths of a Submachine are referenced via Connection Point References.
-
-
Central Behavior repository:
All Behaviors are centralized at the root State Machine level and referenced across elements, maintaining a single source of truth across all States, Transitions, and Submachines. -
Undo/Redo:
Unlimited undo and redo operations scoped directly to the active Canvas context. -
Export:
Export State Machine graphs to multiple formats:-
JSON:
Exports the full State Machine graph (including Behaviors, elements, and Submachines) to JSON compliant with the custom Logiop Schema. Ideal for custom execution engines. -
SVG:
Exports clean, resolution-independent vector images of your Canvas diagrams with current visual styling to SVG.
-
-
Dashboard:
A centralized management hub with dedicated sections for your Workspace and account:-
Workspace:
View recent Projects, create or open Projects, organize Workspace, and create or restore compressed Workspace backups. -
Settings:
Customize Canvas and UI presentation settings, or reassign your local Workspace folder. -
Support:
Submit support tickets with optional project attachments or execution logs. -
Account:
View and manage subscription details. -
About:
View app versions, check for updates, and review diagnostic information.
-
-
Automated Error Reporting:
Unhandled exceptions are captured by a built-in error reporting UI, allowing you to send diagnostic details and logs to support.
Compatibility
Logiop Studio is compatible with desktop environments running Chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, or Brave). It is currently not supported on mobile devices, tablets, or non-Chromium browsers such as Safari and Firefox.
Installation
Logiop Studio can be run directly inside any compatible web browser, or installed locally as a desktop Progressive Web Application (PWA).
Recommended: Install as a Desktop App
Installing Studio via your browser's address bar relaxes local Workspace security prompts, maximizes available Canvas space, and enables launching directly from your taskbar or start menu.
Runs on Logiop Pulse
Driven by Our Own Engine
Logiop Studio embeds the Logiop Pulse runtime library and is extensively driven by State Machines executed by Pulse. Execution logs can be attached to support tickets or error reports to give our team deep insight into application diagnostic logic. Personal Workspace designs and Project data are never included in these logs.
